2018 Wellness Points Program

What will “healthy” look like for you this year?

The mission of the Healthier at Holman program is to improve the quality of life and personal performance of our employees by creating a healthy culture, providing access to diverse wellness programs and rewarding those employees who engage in a healthier lifestyle.

The points program will grow to offer you even more ways to meet the criteria for earning your 2018 incentive.  Now all past incentives are rolling up in to one points based program, rewarding you for all of the healthy activities you complete.

Earn 250 Health Points in 2017:

  • Canadian employees, will be awarded a $25 gift card.  (Note: Canadian employees should enter Zip Code 08054 when registering.)
  • US employees and their spouses on the Holman-sponsored medical benefits plan will earn $1000 off their medical benefits in 2018.
  • US employees not on the Holman-sponsored medical benefits will earn a $25 gift card in January of 2018 for completing the 250 points.

For full details on how to achieve your points, please click here.

The deadline for points attainment is September 1, 2017 for all US employees.

The deadline for points attainment is December 31, 2017 for all Canadian employees.

Special note for employees on the Holman-sponsored US Medical Benefits Plan: In the past, employees on the Holman-sponsored medical benefits plan have been asked to attest to having received an annual physical and also of tobacco use.  Please note that these attestations have been rolled in to the points program and can be found within the Health Advocate system.  Each is worth 100 points.  You will NOT be able to attest to these at re-enrollment for the 2018 benefits.

Special note for new hires:  Any individual hired on or after July 1, 2017 will not be eligible to participate in the points program to receive 2018 incentives.  Employees hired between July 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017 will have the opportunity to begin earning their points on January 1, 2018 for the 2019 benefits enrollment year.  Employees hired before July 1, 2017 will be required to achieve the 250 point threshold in order to earn their incentive.

Special note for union members: Please refer to your collective bargaining agreement.

We are committed to helping you achieve your healthiest self. Rewards for participating in a wellness program are available to all employees. If you think you might be unable to meet a standard for a reward under the wellness program, you might qualify for an opportunity to earn the same reward by different means. Contact your HR department, who will work with you to find a wellness program with the same reward that is right for you in light of your health status.

ADA Wellness Notice

Healthier at Holman is a voluntary wellness program available to all employees. The program is administered according to federal rules permitting employer-sponsored wellness programs that seek to improve employee health or prevent disease, including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, as applicable, among others. If you choose to participate in the wellness program you will be asked to complete a voluntary health risk assessment or “HRA” that asks a series of questions about your health-related activities and behaviors and whether you have or had certain medical conditions (e.g., cancer, diabetes, or heart disease). You may also be asked to complete a biometric screening, which will include a blood test for early detection of heart disease and diabetes.  You are not required to complete the HRA or to participate in the blood test or other medical examinations.

However, employees who choose to participate in the wellness program will receive an incentive of $1000 discount from annual medical benefits costs for achieving 250 points. Although you are not required to complete the HRA or participate in the biometric screening, only employees who do so will receive the incentive.

Additional incentives may be available for employees who participate in certain health-related activities , such as health challenges or competition, or achieve certain health outcomes, such as points above the 250 threshold. If you are unable to participate in any of the health-related activities or achieve any of the health outcomes required to earn an incentive, you may be entitled to a reasonable accommodation or an alternative standard. You may request a reasonable accommodation or an alternative standard by contacting the Healthier at Holman team at hah@holmanauto.com.

The information from your HRA and the results from your biometric screening will be used to provide you with information to help you understand your current health and potential risks, and may also be used to offer you services through the wellness program, such as educational material. You also are encouraged to share your results or concerns with your own doctor.
